This year’s edition of the Lion Run attracted crowds of participants and fans! The event took place in the unique scenery of Lake Kierskie and the areas around Tarnowo Podgórne. We not only cheered, but also actively joined the event, proposing a completely different, water perspective of movement.
At Lake Kierskie, there was not only running…
While runners in every category – from children to professionals – were competing on the routes, we were setting up a water sports activity zone by the lake. We wanted to show that water is not just recreation. It is also sport, balance, development and lots of fun!
Our zone became a place where everyone – regardless of age – could try something new, practice coordination and balance.
The main attraction was a 15-meter skimboard track, which attracted attention and volunteers. It was an opportunity to test your skills on a wet track. Skimboarding turned out to be a great complement to the atmosphere of sports competition. It perfectly matched the atmosphere of the Lion’s Run – dynamic, demanding and full of fun.

Our balance zone – trickboard and balance board in action
Not everyone knows that balance is the basis of almost every physical activity – from running to riding e-foils. That is why we have prepared a space in our zone where you could test your skills on a trickboard and balance board. Parents, children, runners between starts – everyone tried their hand and discovered that balance is something worth training. Importantly, the zone was accessible to everyone, with no limit on attempts and a smile included.
Squat competition – competition to the max!
And since it is a sports event – there could be no shortage of competition with prizes. We have prepared a unique competition: whoever can do the most squats (to a right angle!) in a minute, wins a voucher for Efoil Starter – an introduction to the world of flying over water. Three categories – women, men and children – made the competition fierce but fair. The winners showed not only the strength of their legs, but also their character!
Why were we at the Lion Run?
We are local, committed and believe in the power of the community. Our base of operations – Kierskie Lake – is a natural centre for water sports, integration and active leisure. By promoting ourselves during the Lion Run, we wanted to remind residents that just around the corner they have access to innovative, spectacular and accessible forms of recreation. Flyboard, fliteboard, skimboard, water events – all of this happens here every day.
The Lion Run has dozens of attractions, partners and sponsors, but our zone attracted special attention. And not without reason. We focused on active experience, unusual forms of movement and interaction. And to stimulate the imagination even more, we put a fliteboard on display – an electric board for e-foil, which aroused considerable interest. Everyone could approach, see up close, ask questions and learn what it looks like to learn to fly over water. For many, it was the first encounter with this revolutionary equipment.
Thanks and invitation
We would like to thank the organisers for the great atmosphere and the opportunity to participate. We thank all participants who glided, balanced, did squats and asked about flying over water with us. We felt like we were part of the community – and we want to develop this relationship.
🦁 The Lion Run showed that local events can have global momentum – and we are ready to give them water wings. See you soon!
